For National Homelessness Week 2025, we’re shining a light on the power of community to help young people experiencing homelessness, or at risk of homelessness, find stability and dignity.
Bella from ICYS Ipswich Community Youth Service shared how her team uses GIVIT to support young people transitioning out of homelessness: “When young people need a laptop for study, or furniture for a new place, we rely really heavily on GIVIT. We use the online warehouse, set how far we can travel, then scroll through what’s available. Then our housing workers go out and meet generous community members who are willing to donate.”
Behind every donated couch or laptop is a story of hope, resilience and community care. This Homelessness Week, we remember: the right support, at the right time, can change someone’s future.
